Liebster Award Nomination

This month has been crazy hectic and I haven't had as much time as I'd like to blog but now all my exams are over and it's the summer I have hopefully more time to be more productive online, plus I have a few cool things planned! Moving on to the actual post, the lovely Libby from libbylovesxx.blogspot.com tagged me in my first tag, yes this is so exciting to me. Libby has an amazing blog if you want to check her out and follow her. Her blog is one of my favourites, it's always so interesting, well put together and she is so sweet so go head over to her blog now!
I've seen this tag previously but I wasn't really sure how it works so I'll explain it now for those who don't know. Basically you get tagged by a blogger to answer the questions they set you, answer them, come up with ten questions of your own and tag ten other people to do it if they so choose. Sounds like a lot of fun and it's a great way to get to know other bloggers and connect. Here are my answers to the questions Libby set:

1. What's your ideal holiday destination?

My ideal holiday destination would be somewhere warm and sunny like Spain. I love having an abundance of things to do so near a beach or themepark would be ideal.

2. What catches your eye on someone's Instagram account?

Usually if they have a theme going, I love the look of it although I don't have a theme myself. I like when people have a mix of things on their Instagram like lots of places and people and not just selfies and the likes.

3. What's 1 short term goal you are currently working towards?

I'm currently working towards getting more in shape and exercising more although I haven't started that yet.. Other than that I want to focus more on writing more things and getting good at it.

4. What inspired you to start your blog?

There was a couple of influences and factors that made me want to start a blog. I think the main reason was Zoella as I was and still am a huge fan of her and really loved reading her blog and watching her YouTube and it made me really want to start one, which I did. Although I don't think I would've had the motivation to start if I wasn't a huge fan of writing and reading. It's something I'm studying in University and I love it so I thought why not do it as a hobby.

5. Have you ever attended a blogger event? If so, how/where was it!?

I have unfortunately never attended one as much as I would like to!

6. What's your ideal relaxation method?

Having a bath is probably my ideal especially when I'm stressed. I just use a load of Lush products and the scents and products help me feel more relaxed. Other than that I'd read books or blogs.

7. What's your favourite make-up/cosmetics brand?

Ooh this is a tough question. Lush is my favourite cosmetics brand one hundred percent although I don't use any make up from them. I change my favourite make up brand quite a lot, it's probably Rimmel judging by the amount of their products I have but I'm really loving NYX and Zoeva at the moment.

8. What big summer plans have you made so far?

I'm actually going away to Birmingham for a few days tomorrow, there will be multiple blog posts made on this of course. Other than that I'm going to try keep as busy and productive as possible but I have no set plans.

9. Would you rather send an email or a letter?

I love receiving letters so I'd say send a letter, especially because a hand written letter would be so unusual to get now a days I think it would be nice. Although for convenience I would obviously send an email.

10. What's your go to cocktail?

I'm not a huge drinker so I don't really have one. My safe bet is normally a strawberry daiquiri but if something looks new and interesting I'll probably try that instead.

My questions for you

1. What's your favourite song and why?
2. Would you rather go on a relaxing holiday or an adventure holiday?
3. Is there a celebrity or anyone who inspires you?
4. What's your favourite lipstick shade?
5. What's your ideal meal?
6. Have you got any interesting talents?
7. What's your favourite scent?
8. What did you want to be when you were younger?
9. Have you got any plans for the summer?
10. What's your favourite part about blogging?

Lush | Ultrabland

Another Lush post? How unlike me, it's not like I don't post enough about them. Lush's Ultrabland has become probably my all time favourite Lush product I've tried so far, I know I say that all the time but I know I'm going to be repurchasing this, we're off to a good start already.
Ultrabland is a cleanser and a make up remover used to 'soften and thoroughly cleanse the skin.' It 100% does this, and in the short month that I've had it it definitely has improved my skin's condition. It has made my skin a lot clearer, other than the usual breakout, and makes my skin feel soft and really clean.

The product is mainly consisting of beeswax and rose water and it smells like honey. I bought it as I heard it was really good for removing access makeup and clearing your skin. Normally I remove the bulk of my makeup with a makeup wipe then apply this all over my face. Then with a wet cotton pad I remove the product from my face. You can visually see the amount of excess makeup that comes off your face even after you think you've cleaned it all off. It leaves the feeling of beeswax on your skin which kind of feels like a layer of protection against dirt particles, I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that but it works.

This is the Lush founder's number one desert product and I can see why. It works as a cleanser, toner and face mask all in one, in my opinion. It has done wonders for my skin and I use it almost every day. You only have to use a little bit to cover your whole face too so this is lasting me so long, it's well worth it. If you've tried some of Lush's face masks before and felt like they did your skin good I feel like this would be a good alternative to try if you've never tried it before. It removes all the bad stuff from your face just like a face mask. Although it does lack the amazing Lush face mask smell, it can be taken off instantly and quickly.

This is my number one skin care product from Lush for sure, has anyone else tried it before? What are your favourite Lush skin products?

Cactus Stripes | Outfit

First of all, I love striped outfits if you didn't already know. If I ever don't know what to wear I'll probably throw on some variation of a striped shirt. My wardrobe is full of them. They're always in fashion and suit everyone, what's not to love?

It's getting into sunnier weather which means I need to stock up on t-shirts and associated assortments. I saw the cactus on this shirt and I had to get it straight away as it was so cute. Who can resist a happy cactus saying 'Hug!'? Not this gal. The shirt is from H&M and was about twelve euro I think which isn't too bad. I just paired it with my favourite blue jeans and comfy shoes to complete the casual vibe. I'm trying to limit the amount of striped shirts I own now because I have to many, oops.

Does anyone else love striped shirts or anything similar?

April Favourites | 2016

I'm actually quite scared that April is now over and it's already May, like where is the time going? I know May is going to be quite a busy month with ending my first year in Uni and studying for my end of year exams and also I have a few other things planned during the month that I'm excited for so I'm not sure how regularly I'll be blogging, but after my exams I will try to do a lot, hopefully. Anyway, on to this months favourites.

My first favourite of the month is the Seventeen BB cream. I'd been looking for a good BB cream to help clear my skin, as wearing heavy foundations makes my skin quite bad, I decided that I needed to give my skin a bit of a breather while still having some sort of coverage. I picked this one up as it says it 'improves skin within four weeks' and I have to say it does live up to this. Although I don't use this everyday, the days which I feel like I want to use a more natural face of make up or give my skin more of a break from harsh makeup, I think this works wonders. It gives quite a good coverage although it's a BB cream and it gives my skin a natural glow. I've also noticed my skin does become a little clearer after wearing it, although my skin's unpredictable anyway.

I rarely post about perfumes but I've been wearing this one non stop this month and felt like it needed some recognition. At first I wasn't really sure what this smelt like, it's not very strong but it's a perfect summer day perfume. It smells fruity and fresh and I love how subtle it is and not too overpowering, although it doesn't last that long, it's still easy to spritz along with another body spray.

I have already reviewed this product on my blog here if you'd like to read a more in depth description of the product, but I've nearly completed the tub of it and I'm still loving it. I love the smell and how exfoliating the product is on my skin, it gives it such a thorough clean and it's super smooth after it. I normally apply it before the shower and leave for 10 minutes and rinse it off under the warm water to help clean my skin even more. I'm going to have to find a new face mask to try out when this one's gone.

This is my ultimate favourite eyeliner. I had forgotten how much I loved this since my last one dried out and I hadn't used it for so long, but after repurchasing I've re-fallen in love with it. It makes applying eyeliner so easy and it's just the right amount of thickness for drawing the perfect cat flick on my eye. The formula is so easy to apply and it's easy to erase after mistakes but also dries quick. No other eyeliner has compared with it yet.

Disney Tsum Tsum Flask
This flask was gifted to me by my lovely friend Kathryn, hello and thanks if you're reading this. I love it so much, it's so adorable. I'm a huge Disney nerd and a tsum tsum fan, I'm actually thinking of doing a tsum tsum collection post if anyone's interested. I only put water in it as any other beverage would stain it and it's hard to wash out after a while. I had an Olaf flask before this but it's gotten quite worn down over the year. I love to have flasks that can be refilled rather than plastic bottles when I can to reduce my waste.

I used this bubblebar before taking blog photos, hence why it's not in the main picture. I hadn't picked up a Lush bubble bar in a while and thought I'd try some of their spring products, and who could resist such a cute bubble bar? I love bubble bars as they can be reused and they're such value for money. This contains geranium and peppermint oils and smells like lavender and very floral, sweet and not quite as minty despite the fact it contains peppermint. It leaves the bath a bubbly soft red which is also refreshing. I really love the design and cuteness of the ladybird though.

How has everyone enjoyed April? What have you been loving?
