Formal Embroidery | Outfit

I've been loving the embroidery trend over the past month and I've not bought anything until last week. I'd been eye'ing up clothes from Topshop and Penneys and wondering what to buy, they're both on point with their trend game. Shirts with embroidered pieces are elegant and formal, putting a flair on a plain old shirt and making both you and your outfit look more stylish and refined. The shirt in my photos is from Primark (Penneys) and I love how cute the flower pattern is, and how the pastel pink colour works so well with the white.

For this slightly formal and gentle look I wore my favourite coat of all time. It's a beige sort of trench coat style that's not too long or too short, with a pretty fluffy collar and a belt to tighten and close it. I fell in love with it and I think it's the cutest coat that I own, except it's not too good for the rainy weather. It's from Miss Selfridge and they honestly have the cutest jackets at the moment I'd recommend taking a look before they sell out of winter style coats. To make the shirt less formal I paired it with a pair of Nike runners instead of boots to give a more relaxed and casual vibe.

Has anyone got any embroidered pieces at the moment? What do you think of the trend?

Cozy Night In

While the weather is still so frosty and days at Uni feel so long, when you get home everyday all you want to do is curl up at home in bed, watching your favourite Netflix show with a bunch of snacks. Instead of opting for a wild night out some times you have to treat yourself a little extra to that ultimate cozy night in. In this post I'm going to share what I do for my cozy nights in with a good film or show, inspired by the wonderful Adore Me, after all you can't have the perfect cozy night in without the comfiest and most beautiful attire to make you feel comfortable and also great about yourself.

For my cozy night in, there are a few essentials I need. Firstly I get the snacks prepared to watch Netflix. I usually eat the general choice of popcorn, yum, or chocolate. If my boyfriend is around we normally share a Ben and Jerry's ice cream tub between us (Phish Food or Chocolate Fudge brownie are the ultimate treat), although it's not a healthy choice, you have to treat yourself. The obvious beverage choice would be a hot chocolate also, which always goes well with cold nights.

Next, there is the choice of movies or TV shows to chill and watch, which is a hard decision. Currently I've been obsessed with Gilmore Girls, on Netflix. If anyone's not heard of Gilmore Girls you should check it out, it's a series surrounding a mother Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter Rory from the 2000's. It's so addictive and I would recommend it to anyone, I've already gotten my friends obsessed too. The other perfect choices are Netflix original series like Stranger Things, which I would rewatch over and over, and also the new series A Series of Unfortunate Events which I have started.

To make the cozy night in complete you need the prefect slumber wear, PJ's or cute underwear. Depending on your mood and vibe your choice of clothing can be varied. I was inspired by some of the products and images from Adore Me for my cozy night in ideals. They have a wonderful range of lingerie and sleepwear that would be perfect for my perfect night in, and I love some of the pieces on their website, they look like the perfect pieces to complete your Netflix cozy night in. The below images are the images that inspired me for this cozy night in post and also what I imagine for my own night in, just look how pretty.

My favourite pieces from the website is this Primrose black slip which looks super cozy, breathable and comfortable, for those super lazy days. Also the Margaery PJ set which looks stretchy and soft and perfect for lounging around the house all cozy. I would recommend checking the Adore Me website out, they'll have items suitable for everyone's individual styles and lounge wear tastes!

For my cozy nights recently, I've been choosing some comfy Disney PJ's, very suitable for Disney films. Also any cute lingerie doesn't go amiss, the Tommy Hilfiger one above is my favourite to wear at the moment. I've been having way too many Netflix cozy days lately, I'd love to hear what everyone else does for their cozy nights, especially as Valentines day is coming up.
What does everyone else like to do on their chill or cozy nights in?

Current Favourites | January 2017

I've been meaning to do favourite posts for so long. I've had multiple photos shot to post, but they're long overdue and not relevant to the months they're from anymore. I thought I'd do a little recap on the things I've been meaning to post as they're still my favourites and they don't need to be confined in a certain month. So I'll most likely be doing current favourites in the future unless I can stick with keeping up monthly.

Zoella Beauty - My first favourites come from the Zoella beauty range. The first product is the Zoella Candy Cream Softening Body Lotion. I love this body lotion, it doesn't have a very strong smell, but it quite sweet and very soothing. The part I love the most about this bod lotion is the little microbeads in the lotion. The beads aren't made of plastic like most face wash ones, but are made of a more moisturizing substance prefect for blending into dry skin. The second Zoella product is the Kissy Missy lip balm. I'm not a huge fan of lip balm as I find them messy and not great to use. This lip balm is a little tinted and moisturizing at the same time, it reminds me of the Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me. I use a lot of lip products in the colder months and I've been reaching for lip balms a lot.

Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mist - The last time I was in London I picked these two body mists up, as we don't have Victoria's Secret in Ireland (except there's one coming soon wooo!) so I can't get these products easily. They all smell so good, but I couldn't buy much due to carry on restrictions. I bought them in Pure Seduction and Aqua Kiss. Pure Seduction smells so sweet and dark while Aqua Kiss is fresh and light. I'm trying to make them last as long as they can as I love them so much and have to wait til the new store opens in Dublin to buy some more.

Les Miserables - I went to see Les Miserables in the Queen's theater in October, and it's like my favourite musical of all time, it was like a dream come through. Also it's been so long I don't know whether to blog about my London trip and review of Les Mis, but if you're interested let me know. I bought this bracelet at the show and it's adorable and it's very special to me, and reminds me of such a good trip and time. I need to see this musical live again soon - I love it so much.

La La Land Soundtrack - I recently posted a review of La La Land on my blog, and I'm still obsessed with the soundtrack even after a month of viewing it. The soundtrack has a wide variety of high energy dance sequences and sad sappy love songs, perfect for every mood. If I'm in a bad mood or need something to bop to Another Day of Sun is such a perfect dance, strut your stuff down the road song. City of Stars is my favourite, it's a duet that's just so beautiful. Lovely Night is also a perfect song to duet with a friend or boyfriend with, even you can convince them. The jazz and piano solos are soothing and everything about the soundtrack is perfect, there's definitely something for everyone.

Has anyone ever tried any of these things before? What have you been loving recently?

Zoeva Caramel Melange | Review and Swatches

If you know me then you'll know one of my favourite brands for eyeshadow is Zoeva. They're super affordable, great quality and available in beautiful shades. I've been loving this palette Caramel Melange all month and it's so pretty, it contains a mix of shimmer and matte shades, some neutral and brighter colours. I'm loving this and I'm hoping you'll love it too, this hopefully isn't the only Zoeva palette review I'll do in the next month or so.

As far as I'm aware you can only order these palettes online, I bought them on the Zoeva website. They're so affordable, coming from the broke student. I knew I was going to love this palette as I'd already loved the Cocoa Blends palette from them. I could honestly just look at the packaging and shades all day. The packaging on this palette is dark brown with a gold block design, it's very similar to the Cocoa Blends one that I mix them up from time to time.

It contains the shades, Wax Paper, Universal Delight, Aftertaste, Alchemy, Start Soft, and Finish Sensual, which are matte shadows. Also 182degrees, Liquid Center, Almost Burnt, and Edible Gem, which are shimmers. There's a mix of neutral colours and more vibrant ones. There's white, a variety of browns, reds, golds and purples. My most worn shades are Start Soft and Liquid Center. Start Soft is a brown shade with deeper red undertones and Liquid Center is a lighter brown shade with gold tones, which contain glitter, these shades go so well together. Two of my favourite shades, and the ones that make the palette stand out are Almost Burnt and Aftertaste. Almost Burnt is a deep pure gold which I love, it's so pigmented and leaves a great colour and shimmer. Aftertaste is the most beautiful vibrant red I've seen, it's slightly pink and brown which makes it still natural enough on the eyes.

The swatches above are with and without flash in the order  Wax Paper, Universal Delight, Aftertaste, 182degrees, Liquid Center, Alchemy, Start Soft, Finish Sensual, Almost Burnt, and Edible Gem.

These shadows have really good pigmentation and colour payoff. They're all just such pretty shades and look so perfect altogether. Has anyone ever tried this palette or any other Zoeva products?
