On a High Skinny Dip Highlighter Palette | Review

There's no Skinny Dip stores near me and I always forget how much stuff they actually have. I have a few of their liquid lipsticks and have tried and loved them and I really love the quality of their products. I was in dire need of a new highlighter palette and I saw this one that looked so pretty, look at that holographic cover, and it didn't disappoint in use.

The palette includes three shades, one of which I would consider a blush and the other three highlighters. One is a very icy white shimmer and the others are gold tinted shades. They are one of the most pigmented highlighters I've tried and I love the different colours you can play with. Although the 'Ice Queen' shade suits me the most as I am so pale, I love the colour that gold dust brings to my face mixed with it or with a blush. I also like to mix 'Dollar Dollar' with my bronzers. When using them you don't need much product to see payoff it's the perfect way to finish your makeup look.

Above swatches are Dollar Dollar, Ice Queen, Made You Blush and Gold Dust, they're so pretty together.

Has anyone tried this before or anything similar?

Current Favourites | February 2019

There have been so many favourites that I've had over the past few months, as always I forget them when it comes to writing a post like this. Yet there are a few things that I have enjoyed recently that I'd like to share.

The first thing I've been loving is the Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane body moisturiser. Now I love all of the Body Shop products they're always such good quality, moisturising and smell amazing. This scent is from their Christmas range so I'm not sure if its still available. It smells really minty and meant to be like a candy cane. I think after applying it on your skin it smells like mint ice cream, which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing but I like it. You get so long out of all of their products and there's no doubt I'll be using it for a while.

The next thing of my favourites is Lush's Dad's Garden Lemon Tree Body Spray. I hadn't ever tried any of Lush's sprays before and I love the smell of their Snow Fairy body spray as one of my friends has it and it always smells amazing. Unfortunately they didn't have it when I went but I still wanted to try one of their sprays so I got this one. They are so fresh and you can smell how natural all the sprays are. I love this one as it's a nice scent to wake up to and smells very citrus-y and just reminds me of very happy sunny summer days, which I can't wait for. You can't smell them very strongly yourself after spraying it on yourself but I know to others the scent stays all day.

The last thing is Zoella's Drench Bubble Bath Soak. I don't like much of Zoella's products other than the scents as in terms of skincare etc I don't find the stuff as good quality as other brands. Yet, I do love the majority of bath products, mainly the bubble baths, as they produce an insane amount of bubbles and I like to add it into the cocktail of my other bath products to make it more relaxing.

What's everyone's favourites been this month?

Lush Shower Bombs | Review

When I first went to write this it was a few months ago I'll admit, so the products aren't as new as the first week I got them. Yet, at least this means I've had a lot of time to review this and a lot of other things that I'm planning on posting about soon enough. Lush released a collection of what they call 'shower bombs' recently and these are essentially bath bombs for your shower. I think this is a great idea as not everyone has a bath and could still want to enjoy the fun of a bath bomb. They work the same way as a regular bath bomb, once under the water they begin to fizz and dissolve like a normal bath bomb. With these, instead of placing them in a pool of water and bathing in it, you hold it under the water and as it dissolves you rub it on your body just like a shower scrub or shower gel. Allowing you to have the benefits of multiple products in one while also the fun of a bath bomb.

I have to say I don't enjoy these as much as I thought I would. The ones that I have tried are Sleepy, which is the main review, and Not Sleepy, almost its opposite. I think it's a nice idea for people who want to treat themselves in the shower, as a bath is normally deemed more relaxing. The shower bomb, melts as you put it in the water and fizzes as you rub it on your skin. It smells really nice and you don't have to use it all in one go which is a good idea. The Sleepy bath bomb smells like its counterpart products which smell very relaxing and like lavender and it is shaped like a little white cloud. While Not Sleepy is bright yellow and smells like citrus. I think that it doesn't really work and the textures aren't the best feeling on the skin, I can't imagine wanting to rub a regular bath bomb onto my skin, and it doesn't feel like theres many benefits in using it unless you want to try something new as you may like it but it doesn't work for me. It feels as if there's not enough product for the price and I would rather a regular body scrub in its place.

Has anyone ever tried a shower bomb before? What do you think of them?
